Gaming ultra book? - Page 2

the laptop and desktop gfx are not the same , sometimes there are one level below their performance compare to the real one ( the desktop)

example : the 680m is like a 670 or a 660 from a desktop

and sometimes , nvidia rebrand their cards too , so , the 670m i think , is a 580m , the real kepler is the 675m , and so on and on

the 620m , ive been reading , and its better the HD4000 integrated grafics , but a 630 is better

ill just wait for the 650 , because its a real kepler and not a fenri rebrand smile.gif check notebookreview.com for gpu comparison too , its a great website

How can you do that? I went over HP website and they don't offer graphic card customization for 6z Sleekbook. Would be cool, though.

The Asus zenbook u500 will be my choice I think. I just wish it was not as thick. I'm looking for a laptop as light as that gigabyte x11 but with the zenbook hardware, software, that's why I made the thread do you guys think I should wait? Maybe a 12mm thick ultra book with 6 hours heavy use and 650m will be out for the holidays that's all I want

Whatever happened to the trinity 'light-books' or whatever they were going to be called. I cant really find any information on them, but I figured one of those with a decent resolution should come in at the price you are looking for.

not an ultra book per se but it has slimmed features and nice price and specs

This one slimmer different specs too.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834215401

Also dont worry about windows 8. Microsoft is allowing people to upgrade pretty much any new windows 7 pc purchase an upgrade to 8 for $15 not too sure how it works if you have to pre-pay in a certain time period or what.

Also from what I've been reading mobile gpus dont exactly refer to the desktop gpus.
Heres one site to check benchmarks theres others too that compare only mobile gpus

Haha yea I saw the m5 And it met all my needs. Was looking for 3lbs but since it has a back it keyboard for 780$ I can deal. Unless no objections or you guys don't think I should wait for anything else I'll gladly save the money and pull the trigger on this time line m5

And then I see this lol

I was almost dead-set on getting the Zenbook UX32VD for some light gaming with friends(diablo 3, borderlands, guild wars 2) and schoolwork, but after seeing the Zenbook U500 I think I'm going to have to wait for that.. Looks absolutely perfect for what I need with a quad core i7 and gt650m while still being relatively sleek.. Not to mention fantastically sexy with an amazing screen.
