Razer BlackWidow Issue

Hello, I recently (2-3days ago) bought a razer blackwidow, and today I noticed two thing that I'm a bit worried about.

First thing, last night I accidentally hit the home button, and as I lifted my finger up, it caused the directly above scroll lock button to pop out... It wasn't a forceful move or anything, I just that the scroll lock key is THAT loose. I can grab it with my fingers and pull it right off with ease. Which isn't the case with the rest of the keys.

Second thing is the m key. It doesn't make the same clicking sound like the rest of the keys. It's kinda mute.

Now, the keyboard works just fine, but I wonder if this is a sign of a defect or a problem that might appear later. Should I return it?

Thank you.

I had to pull out each key and clean it after a small soda accident and they all worked afterwards. But I needed a small screw driver, not my fingers.
The key shouldn't pop up like that, but you can push it back in and 'lock' it in place by using little force.

I've been using the BW for over a year and I can tell you that the m key does not click like the rest of the keys, it is more muted than the rest, but I only noticed it when I read your post worriedsmiley.gif

Thank you for the reply eXXon. Really weird about the m key. Thought it would be just me. tongue.gif

As I thought being able to remove the scroll lock key as easy as that isn't normal. I wonder though what do you mean that I cal lock it in place with 'little' force. I can assure you the I tried applying what I'm pretty sure is A LOT of force, and it's just the same. I can very easily slide it out again.

Seeing this picture here: http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q269/damutation/Razer%20Blackwidow%20Review/RazerBlackwidowUltimateReview-117.jpg

I can tell that my key is different. It's missing the plastic parts in four corners. I guess that is why it doesn't lock in, regardless of the pressure I put. frown.gif
Would you be kind enough to verify it for me?

If its the one on the right then its as mine.
But if its the left one...then its missing the white plastic cross in the middle.

You can rma the keyboard, or if you don't use all the 'm' keys on the left...replace the 'm5' key with the 'scr' key thinking.gif

RMA it is then. If it was a cheaper keyboard maybe I wouldn't mind about the scroll lock key.

BTW, Here is how my key looks like:

Thanks for your help eXXon.
