Need help with Raid 5 on P5ND2-SLi (non-deluxe)

Installed 4x250gb Seagate 7200.9 Sata Drives. Set up the raid 5 array on the Nvidia chipset. Used the 32bit raid driver (F6) on windows install. Did a quick format, worked ok. On install restart, detection of array showed 2 arrays, one degraded and one with an error. Got into windows, installed chipset drivers (including Nvidia MediaShield). Did restart, F10, Deleted the error array (which had 1 drive in it, rebuilt the degraded array, loaded windows, and mediashield started to Rebuild the array. 15 hours later, it's still at 0.00%

I deleted the array now, cleared the disks, and am doing a full format... 4 hours into it, I am 64% (seems OK in my experience with raid 0)

Any tips on how to not degrade the array? Do I have 1 bad drive? Why would one drive get pushed into it's own (errored) array?

Thanks for any help!
