[SOLVED] Good Replacement Board?

Thread Starter
Hey guys I have an ASUS M2A-VM in my media center, but the pci-e slot died and the board is becoming very finicky. So I thought it was time to replace it, my question is what is a decent comparable to that board (for super cheap)? I don't want to really "upgrade" that rig at all because an AM2 setup works fine for what I use it for. Thanks

Found 3 good ones.

http://www.frys.com/search?cat=-69574&pType=pDisplay&fq=100344%20AMD_AM2_plus

Edit: store pickup only...

For probably less than $100 you could get new cpu+mobo+ram that will be good enough for HTPC.

Actually I just decided that my 955 I have sitting around would go into the media center for now, that way all I need is a cheap AM3 board since I have a bit of DDR3 laying around.

as far as I know the ASUS M2A-VM will only go up to a Phenom II 945

I believe you're right, hence the looking for a new board.

well with the 955 your beter off going with a AM3 or a cheep AM3+ board as it will cost you about the same as a new AM2+ board
