P9x79 and 3960x bsod - Page 2

I have already tried 1.42V with no luck.

How much do you think I can try now?

Temps are ok I think and I am on water with: EK Supremacy block, XSPC EX360 rad, mcp655 pump and EK advanced reservoir.

You aren't supplying all the relevant information.

Have you even started again from all default settings? or are you shooting straight for a specific overclock?

Usually 0x101 is not caused by anything else.

Sorry I didnt go back no. I really think I am "nearly" stable, this is why I insisted a bit more on 4.8GHz.
The only situation when I get bsods is gaming or unigine heaven.

Ok... lets put all the information:

see if C3/C6 disabled helps, they may go outside of the voltage curve when initiated.

This is interesting... I disabled EIST, C1E and C3/C6/C7 report.

I got a 0x0A bsod without doing anything on Windows.

maybe the memory is not able to hold 4.8GHz all the time? maybe up VCCSA/VTT a bit or VDIMM?

What do you think?
Really I think you should start at stock. You are getting too many different issues.

Why wont you listen? rolleyes.gif

Ok... Im sorry.

I can load optimized defaults and set everything to stock.

Whats the first thing to do after this?
set things ( like ram, boot order ) accordingly to normal operation.

Set your optimized settings for the OC, go ahead and get ready for offset, disable C3/C6 is desired ( generally recommended )

then begin to up the multiplier until you test an error.

be sure to test at stock before you et started. make sure everything is operational beforehand.

Ok, by optimized settings for the OC. You mean the digi power control?
Should i start to up the multiplier with vcore, vccsa and vtt all at default?

How about the RAM speed? Many times I heard that i should test with 1600mhz first. But my memory is 2133mhz. Should i start to OC with 1600 or 2133?
