What graphic tablet for a beginner under 100 GBP/ $ 150 ?

Hi guys,
I'm in the market for a graphics tablet to help speed along my abilities as a future designer. I'm obviously a beginner and I've taken a look at Wacom's Bamboo series as a possibility however I'm curious what you guys on OCN use if anybody uses such a tablet and what you guys would recommend for a beginner/intermediate designer?

Also I'd like to keep it under 100 pounds / 150 dollars until I get any better smile.gif

So let me know what you guys think smile.gif

Thanks
Alex

My HP touchpad with ICS has been my main tablet for the last year now. Once windows 8 tablets drop i'll probably grab one of those and ditch using android for a tablet all together.

Are you in the UK? Im assuming you are since you asked for a pounds price range as well. I recommend this for beginners. If you are a graphics artist you already know a few pointers. This is about 20 pounds i believe more than the basic. That because it comes with extra button on the left that help you turn off and on the touch sensor when using your hands, and other basic and helpful functions. I have the older version of this one. Im due to upgrade here soon to an Intuos. This tablet lets you do all you need. PLUS it is now wireless. My old one is still wired. So invest in the wireless kit as it helps when your moving turning the tablet around for contour and rouding shapes smile.gif. Its 69 pounds but you can get one for about 80 in dollars. (i've found one cheaper) Hope this helps!

if there is a best buy UK this here would suite a beginner really well. NOTE: it will take some time getting used to it but if you do get one try to make it an every day routine to use the tablet as your mouse and you we be able to do some serious work later on.

The first one I am going to get is the wacom bamboo. I personally don't have one, but I have several friends who all recommended this one to me as a good starter tablet..
