I've ordered this pump from this guy: http://bmaverickddcpumps.wordpress.com/buy-ddc-pumps-here/
As someone had recommended him on OCN, I've transferred the cash on sunday and since then I haven't even heard from him. It's wednesday now and I think that this guy is nothing but a fluke. A real waste of cash and time.

Check yourself buddy. I've bought several from him and so has everyone else in this thread. How about chilling out.

Check myself? What does that even mean man?

This is how it goes. I pay his desired amount, he ships and that's it. But this is how it's actually going, I paid him and sent him a few emails asking confirmation, but now it's been 3 days and he hasn't replied.

All I can say is that you guys must have been lucky. If I get no reply even today, I'll surely be leaving a negative feedback on his 86-0-0 heatware and buy the pump from an actual retailer who I know wont be playing games for the least.

It's like all my parts from Performance PC's have arrived today, but god knows that where the hell is the pump?

Saved by the bell, just got confirmation that he shipped it. That guy said that he's in school, wasn't expecting that.

I've gotten two of them from bmaverick and both times was not disappointed with bmaverick for turn around times or reliability of the pumps.

I think that it is bad form to bad mouth anyone if the seller is within the 3 to 5 day response period. Especially if the buyer has purchased anything through eBay or other Online vendor. I've been kept waiting 10 days or longer from one of the vendors I regularly shop through. Being well within my rights to leave negative feedback, I didn't because they hadn't disappointed me in the past and as they say...

"Excrement happens"

This isn't my thread but I ask that either the person that posted scrub the negativity or a mod does so. No need for it to remain as is, right?

Hell if that were me that posted that I would feel embarrassed and take it down myself. But that's me. 2cents.gif

You could have contacted him before just sending money. I just don't see what the big deal is.
A lot of people go to school for many different reasons. Even later in life. I don't see how that is any reason to look down on someone. There is only one person acting like a "school kid" right now. wink.gif

I don't even know that why on earth am I replying to this, but just for the heck of it, FYI, I DID contact him before, I mean obviously, he's not a stripper that you throw cash in front, before any contact whatsoever, or am I wrong? And even after I contacted him, he replied after two days saying that deposit this much to bla bla and another basic question that I asked him about two pumps costing $70 shipped, upon which he agreed on.

I sent him the cash on Sunday 11am with a reply asking for confirmation. Today in the afternoon I got a reply from him with a tracking no. The thing is that I respect people doing their stuff and also the reason for why they do it, but what I find literally, may I say 'stupid', is when you have too much on your plate and you think that you can handle it, but honestly, you really can't.

Anyways, that's it from my side. Now I gotta deal with NZXT's pathetic Customer Service to ask them that where the hell is my case (been 14 days over due). But that would be just off-topic in this thread, anyways good day.

My advise Ali, less caffeine or a chill pill. You're just showing impatience with your demands for instant notification. It shows signs of an inexperienced buyer for these PRIVATELY sold goods - which may be why others here called you "kid". Not knowing you, I wouldn't have used that term, but your dialogue and actions seem naive, though you may be an adult and stress out about online purchasing easily. Your NZXT comment shows another example of either impatience, inexperience, or both. Why? I'll explain.

Bmaverick is a PRIVATE SELLER, without an automated website like online retailers such as Frozen CPU, Performance PCS, etc... so an automated instant response is not valid. You, and the the rest of us, contacted him via Private Message. Which basically means he'll get it when he is able to check it, and not everyone sits by their PC waiting for email, or has email on their phone for a quick reply. You say you sent him "Cash" on a Sunday morning, which is not a normal business day. Did you send the cash Western Union or via Paypal (his two accepted methods of payment)? Either way you have a receipt stating you sent it, and as long as you had the funds the money would have been automatically transferred to him. Unlike a check getting lost in the mail, there's no reason to think he didn't receive it automatically, or for him to urgently reply back as the answer is obvious. Could his reply been sooner than three days? Yes, he possibly could, but not necessarily given the private nature of this transaction. Again, you're assuming things should be done according to your schedule, which is not always the case. With so many automated websites today we've grown accustomed to instant responses and it seems unnatural when a quick response doesn't occur, but in reality a Private sale depends on the buyer and the seller's Private schedules. Unlike some online retailers, there's no 3, 7 or 10 day rule for this unless you requested it AND he accepted it. Did that happen?

Based on my purchases with bmaverick, and his 86-0 feedback. I'm pretty sure there was no intentional lack of communication as sometimes his response was quick and sometimes they were slow. Just depends on his schedule and real life obligations. Keep in mind you bought two pumps for the price of one retailed at stores, with no tax and free shipping. So you're WAY AHEAD of your "time is money" cliche. Just realize that you jumped the gun by criticizing bmaverick so quickly here with your post without due process or any legal bindings. Bottom line, you paid him Sunday, three working days later he contacted you WITH A SHIPPING TRACKING NUMBER. So you're getting the product in a timely manor without paying for shipping, and depending where you live taxes. THAT DOES NOT make him "stupid", and I take offence to you referring to him that way. Quite frankly, that's Really Immature. You could have sent him a follow up email if you didn't here from him by Friday, and then ask questions here about turnaround times, rather than calling him a "fluke", and "A real waste of cash and time." in your first post. As I've pointed out, you haven't lost any cash, in fact you've SAVED money. As far as wasting you're time rolleyes.gif, Were you waiting in line somewhere? Obviously not. So the only time wasted is by us reading and replying to your impatient, irrational, and immature posts. Chalk it up as a learning lesson. Swallowing some pride and an apology PM to bmaverick for your hastily rude comments would be the right thing to do.

As far as your rant about NZXT, which I've also dealt with many times in a positive manner, they have a rep here on OCN that's been helping those of us in the the NZXT Phantom forum. His name is XNine. Try sending him a PM to see if he can help you out.

Good luck, SS

Not to extend this foolishness but I take issue with the reply...

1) So what if one person mentioned FAST shipping? He is comparatively fast with any retailer out there. Good luck getting a comparative pump in the retail market for $35. Try finding finding one on eBay for that. Still do we even know what the Reviewer means by "Fast". Fast is not a specific time period. Fast is just Fast.

2) You got confirmation from PayPal that he got the funds. Anyone who uses PayPal knows that to be the case. I am OCD and I don't even get that anal about needing dual confirmation.

3) He's a private seller. You're on his time schedule. I don't think that 2 days and 4 days is the end of the world. If you do you should probably reconsider buying anything online. Nobody marches specifically to your beat. The customer is NOT always right. You don't know how many orders he received do you? Life not withstanding I think that it is bad juju to demand that you get preferential treatment when you don't know how many orders he is filling. If you want something done right you do it in an orderly manner. 1st come 1st served. If you're the last in the list you're gonna be the last contacted. That's life get used to it.

4) 1 pump 2 pumps, red pump blue pump, does it really matter? The time to process is marginally less for 1 than 2. rolleyes.gif

and 5) "People like 'you" "?!? As opposed to people like 'you'? I think you seriously need to check your attitude at the door. There is no need to get snippy with anyone. Dude just pointed out some issues that he thought you need to hear. I get that you don't feel you need to hear it but it's obvious to us that you need to hear it.

You ain't the only shopper on the planet and while you believe your stance is justified, I myself have been in Sales in one form or another for over 15 years. If you came to my counter with the type of attitude you've displayed here, how fast do you think you'd get my service and how much service do you think you would get when I finally addressed you. Mind you I live by the 1 gets 10 rule. "People like you" wouldn't be satisfied no matter what I did so you'd be waiting til Hell froze over or Roaches were the dominant Species on the planet, whichever came first.

cheers.gif
