I believe he is trolling or just being a fanboy, because with 2 cards it's just as you said.

CF support at its best. rolleyes.gif The card seems fast enough at 5760x1080 but since CF doesn't work half the time, it's not really worth the money. The triple slot cooler is also disappointing. Louder than a ref 7970? No thank you.

I'd still buy a GTX 690, faster, cooler, quieter, less power draw, and smaller.

That's what I kept telling myself for a year after I bought 6970 in CF. While in reality Nvidia got even further ahead.

Driver updates bringing huge performance increases across the board just don't happen anymore, it's a thing of the past.

And don't get me started on 12.7 and 12.8, and I guess also 12.9 and 12.10 people are going to preach huge performance differences of. 12.7 and 12.8 just fixed some major bugs and games (while introducing some of their own), on average across all the games the performance difference is in single digit %.

For $999 you'd have to be either dumb , uninformed or big AMD fan to pick this over two 7970's for $800.

Rubbish review.

Want guru3Ds review or someone else that knows what they're doing and doesn't record a GTX 690 with it's max overclock being 1060. Please. Mine boosts higher than that at stock clocks with the power limit turned up. I'm sure this card has way more juice in it and can stretch it's legs at higher resolutions.

Once again AMD is defeated by their own drivers. Get it up to date to take advantage of the hardware before you release the product. Yes, I know the 7990 was custom made by the Vendors rather than by AMD themselves, but these Vendors are large enough and do enough business with AMD to be able to get AMD to work on the drivers in order to have it up to date and ready for the new product launch.

confusedsmiley.png How is a flaw like that not caught before getting out the door?? Especially with a flagship custom card.

Someone needs a firing.
