I would say the money $300 and if they could maybe a 180GB or 240GB sdd from them I would rather that than the ram and headphones. I think you'll get MUCH more use from the money (gpu replacement) and a large ssd than the headphones, more ram and 120gb ssd.

While I kinda agree Hokies in maybe holding out for more I think the problem is they can easily say no and you might end up with less if you try for too much. I think the larger SSD and cash they're giving you now wouldn't be too big on them but if you think George can talk them into the better phones, ram, and gpu cash and maybe bigger SSD that would be a good deal.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I'll sleep on it and see. I really don't think it's worth legal action though. Would probably end up costing way more than the GPU and I doubt I'd have much of a case anyway. Not to mention the whole jurisdiction thing with me being on the other side of the world. I'll leave that to someone in the U.S. if they have a similar experience and feel that way inclined. I just want my computer to live again sad-smiley-002.gif

I didn't leak test mainly because I fell for the whole zero maintenance blurb on the website. I figured if it was necessary to leak test it they would have mentioned that in the instructions. Seems so stupid now but to be honest even if I had leak tested it I think I'd probably still be in the same position because it didn't start leaking until a couple of weeks of running it.

Yeah legal action is pretty much out of the question OP, just a couple hours of a lawyers time would equal the cost of the GPU easily. You are better off being as patient(YET FIRM) and cordial as you can and see what happens. Just never give in until they start to get aggro on you(for example until you say that won't do and they say "this is the best we can do, take it or leave it" type of thing. Just keep asking for managers until you hit a brick wall--it has worked for me in the past-- and don't stop until there is absolutely nothing more you can do. It's a pain in the ass for you but unless you raise hell you are probably going to get short changed.

I too feel swindled in that I bought my H100 under the exact same assumptions as you; those assumptions being ease of use, warranty covering any damaged parts as a result of their faulty pump which I had read they did cover on various websites and corsairs general standard of having excellent customer service. Clearly things have changed since then and I am pretty concerned having my h100 running in my system as we speak... but unfortunately until I save up a few hundred bucks for a custom loop I am stuck using this thing my self.

It's a shame that corsair is doing this to you and I feel your pain :*( I can't help but think if you lived in the U.S. that your RMA would have gone differently. Perhaps because you live across the world they feel like they can get by without treating you fairly(I'm not sure) but this is completely unacceptable and I am behind you 100%. I swear I will never purchase another corsair cooler and most likely any corsair products in general unless they change their policy regarding their CPU coolers.

It simply isn't right for them to sell a CLC loop and then say it's your fault(by proxy. not covering the cost of damaged parts)for any damages caused by a faulty one after their entire marketing scheme for the product is ease of use, reliability, and hassle free! WHAT A JOKE mad.gif

WOW! still dodging the bullet! I would ask them to give you an explanation as to why some people in the past have received FULL compensation and now only compensation UPTO a certain amount is offered. As for the Corsair guys "not my department" reply! i thought he was "going to make it right"...... Seems legit!! if making it right = passing the buck and not finding out the answer for you. I mean could he not just have phoned/emailed someone and got the answer.

If it's not his department why was he able to say he would "make it right"?? Surely he can't make statements like that with out some kind of authorisation. No beef with him personally BUT if he can't help why post in the thread and offer it?? Still say this stinks imho and i think for a big name company like Corsair to try and fob people off with a paltry $150 for a mid/high end GPU like a 670 is at best a cheap offer and at worst an insult!

If i was you buddy i would NOT take anything that amounts to less than the cost of the card (in whatever you like BUT i personally after this would get my money back for the cooler and not except another). I myself will NOT be upgrading to a H80/H100 because the main feature of it being backed for leaks is not there anymore. So just as well go the whole hog and get a custom loop or one of those nice looking Cooler Master things.

BIG FAIL CORSAIR:rolleyes:thumb.gif.

Thanx.

This is shady right here. What they offered you for your GPU card is bogus and I am not buying any of there Closed water coolers from this point on. I actually planned on buying 1 but forget it.

Hi everyone,

New poster here and reading this thread encouraged me to join the community (that and the plethora of information here that I'll be learning from).

I just wanted to say that for my new gaming rig which is almost 100% paper built (reearch complete, credit card ready for ordering). I have to say that a good number of parts are corsair branded and reading this thread has made me rethink those choices to the point of totally removing them (AX1200i PSU, H100 closed loop cooling, 32GB quad channel Vengeance RAM). This isn't the first thread I've read over the last couple of years that showcased the famous customer service given by Corsair, that coupled with the brand name reputation is what sold me for using them for my new gaming rig. However not I'm not so convinced.

To the OP please keep us updated, and to CorsairGeorge I hope you and your people can come to the party for this person, I can't imagine I'm the only person now who's turned off Corsair gear due to this thread and others floating around the web.

Looking forward to seeing you all around the forums smile.gif

Corsair saying that they are not responsible for the collateral damages is just a pure BS.

If my galaxy s3 exploded in my car and burned my car, samsung have to replace my car, they can't just replace my phone and give me 500 dollars.

Same thing if my television exploded and burned all the devices connected to it.
