Failed math.

He paid the $140 for the H100 in the first place + the GPU ($490). He will be short around $180.

They need to do all of the above + add the highest end Vengence headset to make it right.

Seems a little off that PCCG will not respond/isnt interested in this.
It should be in their best interest as well to help out, since if it was purchased from them, and if news of this spreads, they also will be in for bad PR.
Who did you talk to at PCCG about the issue?

I havent had any issue with sending off for warranty a faulty Graphics Card (fan related) and they have been giving me updates on this.

I can't remember who I spoke to at PCCG. It's was a while ago and was a 5 seconds conversation. If it was just a failed GPU I'm sure they would have helped but as soon as I mentioned that a H100 leaked onto my GPU they said that I needed to take it up with Corsair. Unfortunately there aren't too many options for good stores in Australia. PCCG seem to be one of the better ones in terms of range and speedy delivery. But I was P$%SED OFF at their response initially having just spend thousands in parts from them.

Yea only good stores to buy stuff in Australia are Pc casegear, Msy & Umart every where else is overpriced.

you both are failing to see that he will still need a performance class cooler for his CPU after this ...

I think the quote went above you......

The reply was based on the quantitative value of the event and how the value was off and not if he needs another performance cooler.....

Thanks.

well, I don't know what went above me and what went below me, but my math is pretty pragmatical wink.gif

the guy's lost a H100 cooler ($140) and a $490 worth of GPU, total around $630
while Corsair offers him H100 refund value ($140), $150 in cash and a 120Gb SSD (worth around whole 90 bucks around here when new...) ... total of $380 vs $630 in losses that is short of around $250 according to my own math. biggrin.gif

I would try becoming a PITA of the Year for Corsair to make them fix it right, what they offer is a half a$$ed "solution".

It just bothers me that there was apparently an unwritten policy where they would give you full value for stuff that was destroyed if your cooler leaked, but now that policy isn't being followed. People bought these coolers in part based on this understanding.

yup, and as I mentioned somewhere above, I'd try enforcing it based on the purchase date and exact date of "new" policy effectiveness (only corsair knows that).
