OP, you should UPDATE your original post with a status of where things are as of today.

this will help in keep the facts straight and allow new readers to get up to speed.

If we all post this link in multiple places on the internet.... the opening post will be critical to getting quick and efficient information out on what is happening to you.

Liked, commented and shared as well. Hope that this gets resolved soon. This is going to become a PR nightmare for Corsair.

Perhaps a few hundred emails from your fellow OCN members will change things...

One email to the right person will help change things.

I've been in contact with him on and off for the past six weeks. I'd like to mention, by the way, that I'm doing this because I actually like it. My job has nothing to do with posting here or helping people out on forums - I'm a product manager, not a support guy. So when I jump in to help out here, it's because I know that sometimes even with great support, things fall through the cracks.

The quality level on our Hydro series hasn't diminished. We're not seeing any higher rate of leakage than we've seen previously. We did have a (well-documented) noise issue earlier this year which we tracked down through the help of guys on this very forum, but as far as leakage, our stats show it's no higher than it has ever been, which is to say, tiny.

I'm taking this one personally now - we've been trying to get a solution that makes us and mrpdean happy since my first email on September 5th. Obviously we'd rather he never had the leakage issue to begin with, but we have to do what we can to make it right now that it's happened.

The values in the offer were come to by averages - and in my opinion, since it's a relatively new policy, it probably needs some tweaks.

At this point, I've escalated it to the point where I will have a solution today.

Please keep in mind that while it seems like Corsair is some huge mega-corp, we're actually pretty small. Tech support, customer service, and forums guys are combined probably less than 25 people, not counting management.

In the past I've done what I can to make it easy for people whose issues weren't fixed to their satisfaction to contact me directly - and I've helped grease the wheels and fill in the cracks where I find them. A few people have tried to use that to their advantage in the past, but most people just want their problem fixed.

I was out of town for part of last week and early this week - on vacation. I do have a life outside of work. I'm trying to fix this stuff as quickly as I can here, even though I have no power to personally cut a check from the Corsair coffers and send it out to mrpdean, I can certainly help by getting the attention of those who do.

Do you guys officially cover parts damaged by the cooler leaking?

Also thanks for coming through, but it's sad that you have to come through instead of a regular agent being able to do it.

Thank you, George. I think myself and the rest of the members on these forums can agree, that your policy of "averages" is not going to be well met by customers, and should definitely be re-visited.

We have traditionally covered damages caused by leaking coolers.

As for it being "sad", I disagree. I think it's unfortunate that it got dropped, but I feel like being able to come in here and help fix it is one of the reasons Corsair wins over much of our competition. There are what, 5 hardware reps that post regularly on OCN?

And I think most of them are marketing or support people - honestly there are two reasons I'm here.

1) I like reading hardware forums.
2) It gives me ideas for ways to improve future products.
