HD 7950 now cost the same at the GTX 660TI?

Please compare these two:

The first 6 on the list; MSI, Gigabyte, Sapphire HD 7950

Mostly all of the 660TIs

If you use the rebates of the 7950s, both cards will end up costing exactly the same $299 (or a minor $10 difference). Is this normal? I thought the 7950 always costed more, and I understand that the 7950 is much better than the 660TI.
I'm currently on a "660TI vs 670" ordeal, but this odd 7950 pricing thing looks like a better alternative. Thoughts?

ADD: The 7950 rebates are over, it's back to being $20-30 more than the 660ti.

HD 7950 is the best value for your money. HD 7950 OC performs on par with GTX 670 OC. the GTX 660 Ti is a poor choice. Get the HD 7950 OC. Sapphire HD 7950 950 Mhz edition is my pick. at USD 310 after rebate and with the sleeping dogs game its a fantastic deal. Currently playing sleeping dogs and loving it thumb.gif

I'm pretty sure that the 7950 would be the better option if you're playing at a higher res or multimonitor if not then just get the 660ti and free boarderlands 2!!!

Done it. Just ordered the Sapphire 7950 Windforce. (And so ends my Nvidia obsession)

Either I'm seeing things or Newegg has a pricing error. Last time I checked, a normal 1GB desktop DDR3 is $10.
This card is only $10 more than the 660ti... $10 more for an extra 1GB VRAM, faster clock and faster memory bandwidth.
I've been Nvidia brainwashed perhaps?

If there's any issues I should know about please point them out now, I can still cancel.

EDIT..... Derp

True that I've been over a month researching on "660ti vs 670", only to suddenly switch to the 7950 and buying it 10 minutes after switching, however, I find your claim too easily sarcastic; or maybe I'm being too serious.

Aside of that; I just noticed that the rebate offer expires today 8/31/2012. Hopefully "expires today" means that today counts, correct?
