And that is because I misspoke, the top for the SM8 is 120mm, not 60mm. Sorry about that, I went off memory (bad idea when you get older tongue.gif) instead of double checking. Either way, at least the option is there!

If you're talking about getting a Case Labs case then you need to get a Case Labs case. There are no more versatile cases on the market right now. Between the M8 and SM8 I would get the M8. It definitely has much more potential for larger watercooled builds in the future if that is what you are planning for. You can always add the extended top and a pedestal later on for extra radiator space. The finish on them is very nice plus they come completely apart in case you ever want to do custom powder coating (no rivets to drill out). I know they cost a good deal of cash but you are really getting your money's worth on them!!

Now the big question is, should I do a build log for my caselabs SM8/G1 Sniper 3 build???

Of course you should do a build log.

thanks. I could always wrap the styker in some Di noc. lol

Im still not sure which way im leaning. Trying to see which would be more economical. The m8 is nice, and wouldnt require me to get another psu, but still like the sm8.

O baby! This would be the one if I knew it could power all my stuff. It might be perfect. A custom sticker to match my build to, AND I could keep my cables.

Seasonic x850

Seasonic x1050
I could take that gold grille off possibly.

The new platinum series has an all black case now.

If you are going to go with the SeaSonic X 1050W why not pay the little extra for better efficiency? SeaSonic Platinum 1000W.

Seasonic x850 *Snip* (Click to show)

That 850 could power your computer if it is the components if your sig rig. I have a Corsair AX850 powering an i7 930 OC'd to 3.8ghz and 2 EVGA GTX 680 Superclocked + that I OC'd further with 2 SSD's and 2 HDD's and 2 Optical drives. It powers my unit just fine, and I have passed all full load stress tests without it breaking a sweat. thumb.gif

You could also just keep the unit you have, because you are right about that. You can just take that off and paint it to match your PSU, or even just paint it your accent color, whatever that may be for you, to tie it into the rest of your rig.

I think I have been convinced to start one here shortly. More than half my parts are here, and I have been told by quite a few people that I should do one. So keep an eye out for one to start! Probably within the week, once I finish my finals.
