I always have a fan blowing over any of my mechanical drives. You can try running it for a while and monitor your temps with something like HWMonitor. If they get to a level you don't like (I usually try to keep mine under 40C) then you can move it.

How is the H100? Is it making a "vrrrm" just like a loud fridge noise?

good call. there is a 120mm below it blowing air into the case, but not sure how much of it will cool the hdd. The HDD has a decent sized hole underneath it.

quick question guys. I was thinking about exchanging the lite on for another LG to match, but Im not sure I really need another drive. I have been using my wd external for blu rays and dvd instead of burning to disc.

I actually just have one optical drive that I use. I need to pick up an external enclosure for it so it will work on all my systems.

the LG looks way better, would get two if i needed. these can burn bluray too right? or just reader? wirters are expensive, and that makes me a sad panda.

Do you really burn that much? I would just stick with the single burner and put the $60 towards something else.
