SLI 570's

Would it be pointless to do SLI 570's? Would that really do much for me, or would I be better off scraping $600 together for a new mobo, and a 670?

570 with same set up wins I think.

Regards to 2xgpu with the fx cpu, not sure about yours but I have just crossfired two 7870 with my fx8120 and am more than happy. Maxing out both cards in the games I play constant and scaled to double the graphics score in such as 3dmark11. post in the bulldozer owners club thread and see if anyone running similar rigs to give you an owners perspective. Also why new mobo? yours is sli compatible just not good for overclocking that fx chip.

Why do you need a new motherboard? You could just get a new card, sell your 570 and then maybe have enough for another card. Like SLI 670s or something.

570s should win i any game they're not VRAM limited in as far as I know, aside from the power consumption and stuff.
Just to point this out though, at 1920x1200 my 470s can't do BF3 fully maxed out. I need to use max everything except AA which I leave one setting below the max, otherwise the game gets annoying freezes now and then because there's not enough VRAM to play it smoothly.

If you get (or already have) 570s with 1280MB of VRAM you might have the same problem with running 1920x1080 maxed out, it's a small problem but I thought you might like to know it's there before you buy another 570.
If I was choosing between another 570 and a 670 I'd get the 570.

I had SLI 570's and it was a heat nightmare for me, I don't know your mobo layout, but I had 1 PCI slot space in between them, and while playing they would get crazy hot (over 90c) and loud. I sold them both and bought a 670 FTW, and I'm more than happy with it. It performs on par with the SLI 570s and runs cool and quiet.

edit: just saw a pic of your mobo, with that little spacing between the two 570's you are going to get a lot of heating between the two cards, and your fan profile is going to shoot up.
