Most computers were running at about 60-133Mhz when Red Alert was released, the Pentium 200 (no mmx) was top-of-the-line when RA released. If you want to play it today you can just use DosBOX.

oops, was thinking about a different pc i had later. I remember playing RA on my pop's NCA built pentium pc and on his work Micron laptop 66mhz. I did try playing RA on my AMD 3200+ system back in '03 and everything just went wayy to fast.

RA2+Yuri rev and generals are my favorite. Can't beleive everything went downhill. The problem was trying to reinvent themselves which was their downfall. I dont know when they will ever redeem themselves.

Because if a game is worth pirating, then it's worth buying. If you like a game you should support the developers so they will continue to make more.

I buy NES/SNES/Genesis games on Wii virtual console, but I could be playing them for free on my PC with an emulator, using a 360 controller, and have even better graphics.

So true, although I have used pirated games before for the shear fact that mt disk were either broken or lost. For example I just found an awesome private sever for SWG pre CU, pretty had to pirate that game, I remember at one point using my original disk as coaster at one point.

Whilst I completely agree in principal ( I ended up buying Divinity 2 GOTY twice, for me and my GF and the collectors edition for her. ) However, Westwood is gone. So isn't it esentially supporting the EA games side of it, which has totally ruined C&C since they got their mits on it?

I loved RA2, used to LAN it with friends 3 People against 5 Hard CPU's would give us afew hours of fun, when we swapped to C&C Tib Sun 1 hard CPU nearly kicked our arses xD I've always been a fan of the Tiberian Dawn storyline, although I loved playing Red alert, I could actually be the Russians Kicking America's arse !! Woo ! lol
