Yes I am...
Maybe, however it has to use it on that bigger screen. Also most games on Android are optimized for Tegra 3. A benchmark can't be, because then it'd be unfair.
lachen.gif Better SoC? Maybe for the GPU. Buggy? A closed system that gets malware is buggy lachen.gif Screen is not much better, is the screen readable outdoors with sun on the iPad? No. On the TF700? Yes. Better ap selection? Yes, of course 5K apps for flashlight is better than just a few that do all they need to. No, it is not. The ASUS is cheaper, runs a better OS (IMO), has a WIDER choice of apps (not the same app reposted 5K times) and has a keyboard dock that lets you do ACTUAL PRODUCTIVITY on it.
I am careful.
Yes that is unfortunately true.
Posted from my iPhone 4 and edited from my family's iPad.
I prefer android, still have an iPhone 4. Why? I try out stuff so people don't throw the "mindless hater sheeple" excuse.
Please tell me how the browser is superior? Let's say Safari vs Android Chrome in any web benchmark? You said everything after all...
Also what about the wider choice of apps (NOT apps reposted 5K times)

i prefer iOS, even though dad has a galaxy note, i didn't like the OS itself. the screen and size is awesome but the OS makes it slow/note is actually slow hardware based.also, iOS apps are way better, since you dont have compatibility problems like windows has. too much hardware range, so you cant test every machine, but only an iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch makes it easier. im also surprised that no body mentioned crapberry. had one, never again. its like a pentium 3 computer which has vista on it. no matter how much you wipe it and reinstall the OS, still slower than crap. basically apple ftw! im not saying android is bad, its just the phones/tablets i used sucked, either because of OS or hardware.
Does he have Jelly Bean or even ICS? Should solve that gripe.

Not really, I've never had an incompatibility problem on android unless i fake my device's id to download more apps.

It's because Gingerbread. Download ICS or JB. JB runs smooth as butter on a 800mhz KF.

You can control the size of everything on the rMBP. And 11 inches is a tiny display.

Microsoft? No I don't suppose they did. (Though I've not seen a photo of the Surface in a while.)

Most analysts believe Apple will release the iPad Mini with a $299 price tag. Apple will likely release two versions of the device: a low-end Wi-Fi-only device for the lower $299 price, and a higher-end, 4G-capable version for $349.
I was talking about the WiFi model. I said either $249 or $299. The former is possible though as they'd still have the same profit ratio as the other iPad models. (Or at least one of them.)

Ah didn't see the whole post.
It wasn't in the post I don't think. It's just what I was thinking of when I wrote it -- I had previously replied to someone in that same thread saying that about how they're twice as much as everything else.

Not when you have the keyboard dock's distance between you + the usual distance.
How far do you think you'll be sitting from a 10 inch display? That would be quite the distance.

Yes, however much less than the Tegra 3 as Apple can integrate that optimization into the compiler, while Android devs can't.
The iPad 3 still works out at being a lot more powerful graphically. I seem to remember reading something about ShadowGun not running that smoothly on the TF700 at 1920x1200, but the iPad 3 runs it quite smoothly at 2048x1536.

It's not about being stupid, it's about being technologically illiterate. The majority of smartphones users don't know anything about this sort of stuff. Plus what do you do if you download a legitimate-looking app that sends text messages to premium numbers? That's a mistake even someone who knows what they're doing could make.

Ah okay that sounds right then.

Tablet specific? Yes, because Android developers don't pull crap and sell different versions for iPad and for iPhone.
There's plenty of universal apps on the App Store. Nevertheless there are few tablet specific apps on Android. They're all just smartphones app which are adjusting to fit the larger display.
Quote:
Nope, because then the iPad would shoot above the TF700 again.
Ah right I see what you're saying.

I reply to all your questions.
Not what I was saying. You said they're easier to read, but I was saying they're harder to reply to like that.

Still usable. If not just use the UX31A.

Did he use the THD version? That one's Tegra optimized.

Who would download an app from an ad? No one that I've ever known (and that includes lots of techy illiterate people)

Usable yes, but not ideal. It's far better having a larger display -- particularly if you're working.

I don't remember but I think so. The Tegra optimized version has more effects though, so that's likely to slow it down more.

Have you ever looked at the universal apps? There's heaps of them. And why shouldn't developers be able to charge for a iPad specific app? They could redo the UI entirely or they may have had to spend hours or more creating higher resolution graphics.

Most malware apps are from apks... esoecially after that bouncer thing the G introduced.

i don't know how people can even debate this, without seeing both. there is no competition. the ipad has a good screen ration (unlike other tablets with stupid awkward 16:9) and it's screen is incomparable.

yes there are things to prefer about android and with mobile phone there are definitely better phones than the outdates 4s currently. but ipad is clearly the best tablet out there, especially if you use it as an ereader (that high res makes a huge difference with text)
16:9 is not awkward, unless all you do is watch 4:3 rectangles moving about on the screen.
Not really, have you seen the ASUS TF700?
No it isn't. Also as an erader you'd be much better off with a SIPS+ screen.
