An X-Box 360 Wireless Receiver I have no longer works after reformatting Windows. Which is extremely weird as it hasn't been removed from the port it was in until tonight when I was investigating why it doesn't show at all on my system.

Anyone else encountered this one? I'm going to try it in another computer later to see if anything shows in device manager.

^ Yep installed them, though usually I didn't need to. I'd just allow Windows update to find and install them. This time, it's not showing in the USB host stuff in device manager on this PC or another.

I've plugged it in two PC and nothing shows up in device manager. I think it's borked

Weird. It was never taken out of the porn. PC not moved. IT sits at the back out the desk away from foot traffic
