Painting Gentle Typhoon AP-15s

Thread Starter
Hey guys, I know this isn't really about water cooling, but I figured that more people that watercool have AP-15s than people that air cool. My problem is this: I need to paint these fans, and I am unsure if I need to get vinyl paint or not. Krylon spray paint says that it can be used for vinyl, but I'm just not sure what I need, exactly.

Thanks for the help!

if you search this site you can find a few fan painting guides
http://www.overclock.net/t/493987/guide-paint-your-fans-uv
http://www.overclock.net/t/1192785/simple-guide-how-to-paint-most-case-fans
there go 2 guides on how to paint fans, i have to say, you should buy some cheap yate loon fans or some super cheap volume discounted fans to practice on.

i'd rather learn how to paint on something i don't really care if i mess up too badly, and if you are a complete novice are painting, you could potentially mess up all of the fans you buy

it gives you a buffer

edit, i really wish there was a stick or a wiki with all the guides like this

use a plastic approved paint..
the solvents in others can attack the blade material and cause issues (brittleness,
cracking under load, part failure).
after diassembly, use a red scotch-brite pad and scuff the blades.
clean the blades with an enamel reducer or weather strip adhesive remover
just before spraying, use a tack cloth the final dust/clean blade and paint till you
got the right coverage in light misty coats. not to much to make blades
out-of-balance. wait a couple of hours to 24hrs to not destroy paint with fingerprints.
assembly fans...
