I've bought and been using this extension + converter for about 1 year. Yesterday, my secondary monitor detected in the OS but no output. Black screen.
1. Use the monitor as primary without any second monitors attached to my GPU. Shows blank nothing.
2. Test the monitor without the extension into my MacBook Pro. Works perfectly...
3. Move my monitor to my old rig GPU, plug in with extension. Blank nothing.
The reason I needed to use that extension because my GTX680 doesn't have Mini-DP. same with the HD6970. Both GPU has the regular (non-mini) DisplayPort. So from all these testsl I assume it's the extension being faulty...
Below screenshot shows the monitor being detected but I can't set anything. The monitor is like being Disabled.
Here's what happened if I decide to extend it or clone it.
Third party app shows the same issue:
Change with different drivers and SLI enabled or disabled... same problem.
Any other solutions before I spend another $40 (ship, tax) to replace possible faulty extension?
My other thoughts was... sell my Apple Cinema out... get another Crossover. So I have nothing to lose here.
