this is what I have to so far. I really like everything except the modo. It seems to have a high percentage of RMAs and is flimsy. Can you recommend a mobo that is pretty reliable and won't break my budget?

thank you

EDIT: these are three other motherboards I am looking at:

the GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3

the GIGABYTE GA-990XA-UD3

and the ASUS M5A97

Honestly, every MB i look at in sub 100$ range has mixed opinions, generally more good ones but still...
Its more of a lucky draw, some will work perfectly, some will encounter issues, some will die soon...

I dont have personal experience with these motherboards but ill try to help:
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128521

With this motherboard, those who had less luck with their MB lucky draw had problems like these
-USB doesn't work at boot
-BSOD's
-RAM issues
-Didnt make it 6 full months of use
-Main Bios Checksum Error ( a couple of these actually.

64 report that their motherboard works, while 28 had to send it back to replace it..

Usually people have problems like these on this motherboard:
-never recognized full memory
-heard a 'pop' and the system shut down (most common afaik)
-DOA with broken CPU socket
- RMA hell
-Died within a few minutes
235+ people report their motherboard works,73 say they have issues

Now i know i just counted the issues people have with these but ...buy it or dont.
Nobody has it guaranteed it will work upon arrival, they buy and see. Those 200 peeps (or 64 in the first spoiler) bought it and were pleased with it,nobody guarenteed them they wont be one of the DOA people.

Both mobos rated 4 stars, due to unlucky ones, and afaik no sub 100$,am3+ mobo is rated 5 stars...

Asrock,asus,gigabyte...3 companies who claim quality, yet we clearly see people complaining and rating one star..

In this world there is no such thing as "guaranteed not to scre* everything up" product...

P.S found an MSi with 8/55 people who RMA'd so yeah... Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I'd pick the GA-990XA-UD3 personally, but its 130$ so it may exceed your budget

its the same price as the other GA-970A after rebate though, so I might just save a little extra and get it. do you know if it works well inside the haf 912 case?

The 6950?
Pretty cheap i think...there is a 1GB version which is cheaper...but i dont know which resolution you will be gaming at...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102987 210 dollars.. with a free dirt3 game

P.S i saw a HIS 6950 1GB but its 250$? whats up with that...they overcharge their cooler?
And if you get a 6950,that whould probably make your budget exceed, and couse you to be cheap somewhere else...
