EL wire help

Hey guys

I purchased a NuclearTec EL Wire Kit a while back for a case mod from http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/430912/all and am having some serious noise issues with it.

There is a high pitch whine that is really loud and annoying. Is there anything I can do about it? maybe a new inverter?

Would really appreciate any help, thanks guys.

I had the same issue with my el wire
replaced my 10$ headphones fixed it (using soundblaster audigy)
is the sound on speakers or headphones?
and onboard soundcard?

Huh? The sound is coming straight from the EL wire's kit, the Inverter/ adapter which has to be connected to the PSU for power.

I`d hear it through my headphones

Ah, I see, is there anything I could do about it though? The noise is really driving me insane. Any other inverters I could use instead?
