Re-applied thermal paste earlier, Artic Silver 5. It was SO MUCH DUST at the bottom of the heatsink that I can't reach without disassembling it. Cleaned all that, the old thermal compund was all crumbly and dry so I think it was needed. smile.gif

I love my temps. Kinda chilly in my room but idle is at 36c and full load about 45c, 46c at the most.

Aaaaand my PC is dead. Just shutted down after playing Battlefield 3 and won't start up again. Black screen, no lights on keyboard or mouse. Been checking possibilities that my motherboard is shot. But I am not sure really, some people think it's broken and some think it's another problem. Tried RAM, changed graphics card etc. However, I found that my 8-pin CPU connector cable seems burned in the plastic for the extension cord. Not sure if I've seen this before, took alot of force to get it off the other connector, and half side in the connector is burned.

The computer DOES start WITH 8-pin connected. Harddrive LED glowing constant, fans and LEDS are on. Can't seem to find any burn-marks or swollen capacitors on the board. No smell either, except from that cable.

It seems to work when I unplug the 8-pin and plug it back in. That means PSU or mobo?
