In the mean time, have you tried 'display fusion'? You can dl a free copy. During the trial all the features are unlocked, but after the trial, the free, limited features are enough for me. I don't think it costs too much to just buy the license anyway. Also you can nudge each screen up, down, left, right, so that even if your monitors aren't aligned, you can compensate for it. You can also expand the task bar across both monitors.
