Need new monitor would like 1440.

U2713hm or U2711

Is it worth waiting.

Will be using it for gaming mainly GW2 and BF3. Also a small amount of photo editing.

The 13. It has better display tech, less ag coating and wait a bit and it should be cheaper hopefully. It has less gamut than the 11 being an 8 bit panel so won't be as good for photo work etc. But if you're using it for the usual desktop/gaming this won't be an advantage. Of course as of right now the 11 is a better deal so if you need something right away that could be a deal if you don't mind the AG coating.

I read some spec looks like the same AG coating and more input lag. 8ms over 6 ms

Is the u2711 ag coating thicker then the u2312 (what I have now)

Based off on the spec I saw the U2711 is the better of the two. Did I miss something?

According to this http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_u2713hm.htm U2711 30 ms (28ms gaming) vs 22 ms for the U2713hm.

That doesn't seem like a whole lot of difference.

Also will I notice the input lag on this monitor i pulled the trigger because I got a good deal stacking coupons. I am upgrading from a U2312hm.

I also read many websites that put the input lag at 28-30ms and other websites put it at 18ms with new testing. Which is most correct? The TFT central review seems to be outdated with the old testing method.

I'd personally go with the U2713HM, but there's no telling when it will be available for purchase in the US.

Well i pulled the trigger on the u2711 last night because I can stacking coupons that expired today. So I guess I will see if it effects my game play when it comes. however by the new testing method the U2711 is 18ms input lag and the new U2713 is suppose to be 16ms I dont think that is a big difference thats for sure.
