I am selling my Dell U2412M and getting a Asus PA248Q. Now my understand is they are basically the same panel inside, is that correct? And the reason I am selling my Dell is I like the look of the Asus much better, OK stop laughing I have OCD :-)

I THINK the Asus is an 8-bit panel, while the Dell is 6-bit.

Eric Franklin of CNET says its an e-IPS in his review of the PA248Q. TFT Central "suspects" its the same 6 bit + FRC LG LM240WU8 panel as the U2412M. I haven't found any real solid stats on it though.
