Would I really need a bigger ssd if i plan on only running win 7 from it and the rest from the other HD?
i had a 60 gb drive and it filled quick even though i only had the os, personally i would spend the extra and get the 128 in case you have to install a game on your c drive. for example BF3 use to require you to install it on the c drive and at the time it left me with 6 gb free, not including removing the hibernation feature from windows

So if i understand correctly even if I only use my ssd for win7 some applications may have to install some files to C:. What benefits am I receiving from installing a ssd?
well, most programs dont require you to install to the ssd, but to put it in perspective if you were to install maybe the whole adobe suite on your ssd for more speed in accessing the program or the features you would probably not have much space left over after the install. But if you install windows on your ssd most likely the benefit is drastically increased start up times and shut down times, for instance i dont even have a welcome screen any more on start up its amazingly fast.

Mostly faster load up speed on anything though its kind of useless for most programs. Most people use their SSD for their OS to help boot speeds. And if a program requires u install to C drive im pretty sure u can just move the file to a secondary drive (which in most cases is your HDD)

if its just mostly fast load up times on starting and closing windows (because I was only going to install windows to the ssd) i've used windows my whole life and it really doesn't bother me so maybe i'll skip on the ssd for now until Christmas or something. I'd rather get a better card then trying to cut funds to pay for a ssd

A good 600W PSU will be fine, and it doesn't have to be Corsair. Check OCN's FAQ: Recommended Power Supplies.

I think i'm pretty close. Plan on ordering in the next couple of days. Whats you think?

Mobo: ASrock z77 extreme4 $149.99 (Canadacomputers)

Power: Corsair CMPSU-750tx v2 $89.99 (Canadacomputers)

CPU: i5 2500k $209.99 (Canadacomputers)

HD: WD Caviar Black 1tb $94.99 (Canadacomputers)

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8gb (2x4) $44.99 (Canadacomputers)

Cooler: coolermaster hyper 212 $35.99 (canadacomputers)

Case: HAF 912 $59.99 (Canadacomputers)

GPU: sapphire hd 7950 vapor-x $339 Newegg

After tax approx $1160

This doesn't include a couple MIR so the final amount might be a little different but i think i'll be happy with this setup.

Why do you want a 750w PSU. are you planning on going CF. if so fine. otherwise get the corsair TX650M modular PSU.
