It should be here monday.

I was mouse shopping as my Salmosa finally bit it.
All of the internal support structure is fall apart, no accidentally happen.
I tried glue, I tried foam and cotton, nothing could hold the PCB down at the right ride height to track any decently, It just crawled across my pixels.

I came across a BNIB CM Xornet on the eBay for $15~ so I jumped on it.
Reviews seemed lacking in information/content. But I didn't come across anything bad.

I am a claw/fingertip grip...somewhere inbetween, I like light mice. Medium Hand size.

What should I expect compared to the Salmosa?

I have been using this:

I got the Xornet, so far it feels... weird.

Have not received the new pad yet though. Once I get it I will be trying the different firmwares.

The shape is either a love or hate design. Obviously you should give it a few days to adjust to but for <$30 you won't get anything with better build quality besides the spawn (component wise, sensor is up in the air).

The mouse shape feels great. Its actually a pretty natural fit for my hand.

The sensor is definitely got some issues with my mouse pad I think. I currently have a black super-mat. sometimes it feels like the tracking just, mud.

I also bought one a month or so ago. The shape is excellent, almost perfect. I didn't like using it on my 9HD because of the massive feet on a hardpad. I'll keep it in my collection if I ever need a backup.

I am playing around with the enotus mouse test.

Its really funny because I cant get the mouse to break 2m/s on my supermat with v70 firmware.

xD

Same firmware I think I have seen threads where it hovers around 4m/s

I would like this better.

My black supermat I am sure is the culpret.

at the center where it worn out and heavily textured its better than the edges where its still black.

The Xornet does not work with black pads. For best results you need to either use a grey mouse pad, or a different mouse.
