Das Keyboard Help?

Hello, I am planning to buy a Das Professional Model S Clicky version and I also want the media key version. Do you know where I can buy it in Canada? NCIX sells the one without media keys. Also, do you know if Das keyboards go on sale? Thanks!

Does their official site not ship to Canada?

If not, you could try eBay, deskthority has a marketplace, geekhack (unsure if they're done getting bombarded with malware, though), etc.

NCIX will get the media key version of the Das eventually.

They DO go on sale but rarely in Canada.

Geekhack is to ONLY be visited like I do. Through a proxy with Javascript OFF!

Canada Computers carries it now, I saw it in store the other day.

HOWEVER I've e-mailed Das to confirm the vendor switching rumour. The rep confirmed that the Media Edition is made in China not by Costar anymore. So if I were you I'd buy the Professional S or Professional Silent. Mac Edition is still Costar

Wouldn't they both have the same quality? I just figured out NCIX has them now but they are out of stock.

In theory they should. But a Volkswagon made in Germany is different than a Volkswagon made from Mexico. So I'd assume the same principle applies, but I could be wrong wink.gif

Personally I'd only buy Costar made ones, which is professional s, professional s silent, and mac edition
