Logitech G600 MMO Mouse + Black Surfaces? Any issues?

Thread Starter
Alrighty, so I've been on the look out for a new mouse recently, specifically one with good thumb buttons. This has led me to the G600, but before I buy it I'd like to know does this mouse have any issues tracking on black mouse-pads/surfaces?

My current mouse (Razer Mamba) was horrible with that, I bought it along with a black razer mousepad and that pad, or pretty much any other black surface for that matter, rendered the mouse completely unusable for any thing, let alone gaming. So now I'm paranoid and feel the need to check if anyone's having those issues with the G600.

Normally neither the Philips sensor of the Mamba, nor the Avago 9800 of the Logitech should have any issues with black cloth.

Avago9800 has built in acceleration issues, but they are surface independant and are around 5% max.

I recently replaced my G700 with the G600. I just tried the G600 now on my old 9HD and it works flawlessly. Although I mainly use it on my pink icemat.

I tested my G600 for you on an Allsop brand black mouse pad.
The pad is one of the ovular shaped ones with the gel wrist rest, and it has NO tracking issues in the slightest, not even over the areas where superglue was laid to mount another pad on top of this one (it was originally my dads, and he had a camouflage on superglued to it (he's weird)
Anyways, the laser is one of the "invisible" ones and from what I can see has no tracking issues on this at all.
I will say that I tried it on an area where the desk has a SLIGHT bump in it from a screw head that went too far in, it's maybe 1/16 inch high, and once the mouse sensor got close to it (may have been from the mouse being on it, not the sensor) it would jump across my screen. HOWEVER, people also stated that they've had issues with that happening in windows 7 when the polling rate is 1k per second, which mine is, so the bump may not have actually been the issue.

Regardless, the mouse is GREAT, and I'm sure you'll love it. Just pray that your BIOS has updated code for gaming mice, because I've got hte MSI 870s-g46 right now, and I have to remove my mouse every time I boot up, wait till windows loads, then re-plug it due to the mouse having onboard storage, and my bios not being compatible (but MSI is working on a fix.)
