New rig

Hello.

I'm not sure if this is the right board to post this kind of question

I'm looking at purchasing a new rig within a few weeks. I haven't been following which components are better than others lately.

I'm going to get a gtx 670 I'd like some input at what other components i should get. I'm willing to put in about 1200, or maybe a little more if i have to

I was looking at the z68 but it's a bit pricey, and I don't need an sli board.

I would like to have 8gb ram and a 24 inch monitor, with a sandy bridge cpu.. Would you have any suggestions as to all the components i should use to maximize performance within the budget that i have?

Thank you

That combo looks like a really good deal. You get a nice Ivy Bridge CPU, Z77 MOBO, 16GB RAM, nice case, PSU, and SSD. Add the GTX 670 and you've got a solid gaming rig for around $1200.
