Black Standoffs?

Thread Starter
I have an ATX motherboard on an XL-ATX tray. There are 5 or so screwholes in the bottom that are empty. I removed any standoffs that were already connected.

My issue is that the empty screwholes are bright silver. I think my options are the following:

#1) leave it as is and deal with the ugly silver holes
#2) purchase black screws and put them in the holes
#3) purchase black standoffs

Do they make black standoffs and where can I find them?
Where can I find proper sized screws for motherboard standoff threads?

Help!

How about black paint? Just grab a small jar of hobby paint and a small paint brush and give them a quick dab of paint.

Personally seeing useless screws or standoffs would bother me ( bit of OCD in us all, eh? ).

Personnaly, I HATE it when their are extra standoffs in the case. The screw holes arent ugly either, I dont think. But, if you want to, I would put black screws in the holes (I would think you want to be able to how the rig off, thats the biggest reason you want it to look good, right? Well, most of OCN perfer blank screw holes over extra standoffs). Couldnt fine black standoffs

Standard motherboard standoffs use a 6/32 thread. I confirmed that Case Labs follows this standard here.

Phobya makes black nickel motherboard standoffs, although they might be a little too silverish for your tastes. Performance-PCs sells them here.

If you had ever tried that, you'd know how bad that doesn't work.

I've painted screws before, as well as fans, but there's nothing worse than a sticky screw.

If the empty screw hole is okay for aesthetic purposes, I can leave it that way. Thoughts?

Phobya Case Screw Kit for Mainboards (6mm Type) $6.59

If you have regular gold standoffs put those under motherboard where you can not see them and put the black one where you can see.

Ace Hardware has Best selection of screws, nuts, bolts, Plastic Clips, ETC where I live. They have Stainless, Black Oxide, Copper, Etc Nuts and bolts.

The Black NZXT Switch 810 came with Black hardware so if you have a friend with one and they have a micro atx mother board they should have extra black standoffs
