Wow ... I had no idea this thread was here , my excuse for being late to the party!
Anyhow I'm currently enjoying my vinyl collection again after resurrecting my old JBE Slate turntable after she's been laying idle for about 10 years! ... here's some quick , fuzzy snaps!
The arms an SME 3S and the cartridge is a Shure V15 type III ... still sounding good after all these years , I bought all this new back in 1981 or 82.
Sadly my amp went a bit moody a few years ago .. (an Arcam Alpha 3 ) and blew itself up and took out one of my speakers .. (one of a pair of Wharfedale Diamond IV) , so to get this going again with my Denon 1612 AV amp I bought a cheapie Behringer PP400 phono-stage ... and now we are all up and running nicely!!
I've also got an ARCAM P77 cartridge here and after a bit of searching around found a supplier for a new stylus ... that should arrive any day now! ... happy days!
Next stop may well be a new (or more likely 2nd hand) amp and speakers , as funds allow! ... nothing too fancy , but I'm liking the look,and the idea of going with tubes for the amp!!
Speaking of which , has anybody any experience of the Fatman ITube range??
