If there are any other issues it's possible the MOBO itself is defective. How/Why does it say a new cpu is detected?

Mobo supports up to 32gb. I think its safe to assume the mobo is defective as I've searched endlessly and tried just about everything.

Reading up on this issue, some have had some luck recognizing all the memory by reseating their CPU due to bent pins or weak contact points causing the second dual channel to not register correctly.

After endless searching, it seems ultimately everyone ends up RMA'ing the board. Bummer....

Take that guy's advice up above and if else fails then maybe it's a bad set up otherwise check with QVC to be sure you can get a better memory and your problem might be solved.

I am 200% certain the memory is not the problem and that it is seated properly.

As I've mentioned, memtest detects 4 DIMMs filled with 4 x 4gb samsung sticks, and all tested error less. CPU-Z and 3dmark detects 16gb as well.

So you have confirmed both the RAM and DIMM slots are in working condition. So my initial thoughts are there's not enough voltage to power them all or there's a bug in the bios. (but how else would cpu-z/3dmark be able to detect it?) Its odd that cpu-z shows it but the bios doesn't.

In Bios, i found the Asus SPD Profile and from there, it shows all 4 sticks with all the info, however it still only shows 8gb.
