How bad are monitor defects?

Thread Starter
I have the choice between a $250 crossover with one bad pixel (top left) and minor bleeding or one of the . Is a perfect screen worth ~$100 more? How much will I notice these things if I usually play bright titles?

The pixels are so tiny I doubt you'd notice it in day to day use. And minor bleeding is common. Save the $100 bucks.

By one bad pixel do you mean dead? A single dead pixel would not be noticeable unless you were scrutinising closely. A lit pixel would be more noticeable of course.

My understanding is most of these panels would/have not been accepted by Apple/Dell so I guess they all have problems. I have no dead/lit pixels, dust under screen but I do have a slight 5mm blemish under the filter which is noticeable as a slight stain on a bright background. Also I have backlight bleeding orginally minor, but recently the bottom left has got worse and extends circular about 4 inches in the screen. I think the low quality monitor bezels mean that adjusting the monitor etc may have caused slight pinching or something similar.

I'm quite fussy about these things but I have learned to live with them and they don't concern me much.
