My dell u2412m just arrived, i have put my old u2311 in portrait mode and it"s secondary now but could you please tell me witch are the best RGB setting for the u2412m?

I don't think there's a universal numbers, it varies from panel to panel even withing same model.

There might be general tendencies tho. But then again to properly calibrate monitor special expensive equipment is needed, hence only very few people have it.

I"m not planning to buy a calibrator, just to get max out of my screen by hand. So i would like to see a few RGB profiles and try them out to see what is best. I just want to ask people what do they use

I just got my U2412M today.

I'm using this profile and very happy with it, I upped the brightness a bit though.

Well if you got it today like me then it must be an A05 revision just like mine. I tried out that profile and it looks really good. However colors still loook a bit washed out compared to ma u2311h. I guess it"s normal,at least white looks really white and it looks yellow-ish on my u2311h

Could be the matte screen. I'm using the the profile here http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/articles/icc_profiles.htm

The colours are pretty solid, you can always play around with the brightness levels.

Dont forget to install the icc profile, just follow the instructions.
