Calibrating a u2412m - Page 2

Well yeah, seems to be the best combination. The fact is my u2311h has quet a bit warmer colours. But u2412m has a lot of other benefits, whites loook much whiter then on the u2311h, it"s a lot more comfortable to work in front off. Pictures look cleaner. On u2311h it"s like someone has taken a dump an the sreen and then wiped it off with cloth and spreaded it all around, but that layer of **** gives colores a bit warmer look. I prefer u2412m.

Im not home, right now... I can check when I get back from work later,

I recall the two displays being slightly different in the factory settings. They both needed some blue pulled from them, but at different amounts, I aimed for the cooler side of neutral white.

Don't bother with a low end calibration device... been there.. done that. Unless you are willing to spend the money for a high end one that can handle different backlights and such, your wasting your time.

Get your contrast/brightness sorted first and then worry about color.

Well i spent the entire afternoon loking for profiles and calibrating them, They are quiet similar now. The problem was my u2311h was actually calibrated very bad, it had a lot of "brown/yellow" in its color so coloured pictures looked warmer but whites and blacks actuallly sucked badly, now i solved that but if somebody could post a ICC profile for a calibrated u2412m A05 revision it would be nice.
