I am really not a fan of this. Whoever did it definitely deserves a pat on the back, but it just looks too dark to really be enjoyable. With a little refinement it could be great though.
It's probably a client side mod though so unless you have the specific files it wouldn't work.

seems really rough around the edges, it needs a serious polish on it. smoke does not illuminate at night, its not really that dark in night time siduations (although that's arguable but in a city situation its not that pitch black that you cant see 2 feet in front of your face), and honestly i think dice/ea should support this mod and allow the input of a night vision goggles add in (as if that will happen).

Night operation should definitely be something DICE should have though about and right about now would do wonders for the Veteran community. It would actually make me want to play and enjoy the older maps like i once did. Dice probably allowed it/ or will allow it because they intend or have already been working on this idea for a surprise release after the Armored kill map pack. No way they will allow this to slide especially if they claim to have thought of it first. I personally don't feel theres a need for IR if there aren't any true night time missions.

^ agreed. Without true night maps IR is useless, frag rounds are pretty much useless, flash hiders are not great, and flashlights are weak.
I was expecting at least 3 night maps, at least in part because of BC2 having them.

I would totally like to see DICE come out with a night mode for every map. It would completely change how the game is played, IMO.
