From a business prospective, community content (unless F2P, TF2 model) hurts. It takes control away from publishers because they can't control the amount of content given to you anymore... Since these greedy publishers love to do annual releases, they have to make sure the content lasts you just long enough, but not too long... They'll "take" all feedback though *cough like fans asking for official mod support biggrin.gif

This.
This is the most likely reason; not the reason that DICE gave before about "if we release mod tools for PC we'll have to release them for console as well"

They're milking things....just like premium etc.

But I did buy premium albeit at a discounted price rolleyes.gif

So.. it took someone almost a year to come out with a mod for BF3 and it proves that DICE was wrong about the game being difficult to mod? xD

I hope this opens the floodgates for more mods.biggrin.gif

Now I need to find a way to apply this mod to public games - really, the only feature I'm after is to delete stupidly retardedly bright sun (and glare reflections), there must be some way to remove the damn thing and these guys have figured it out :O

Yup agreed, EA/Dice just wants to milk the content. They also failed to realized that with Skyrim, devs encouraged people to mod the game plus they still had a successful DLC launch.

Nope, True. Since you're not releasing it because you're afraid people will use it for hacks(funny since you got the info on dx11 & fb2 from a hacker site: uc-forum), if people want to play it now, that eGO community is the only place they can. No one said anything about where it will be released publicly.

I reversed it myself, uc helps but I did all the work myself. That assumption is wrong.
