Can somebody who uses iTunes explain something to me ? It's true that for a while now they have been selling DRM free music with a higher bitrate, right ? So, where does that limit of playing the music on 5 devices come from ? If the music doesn't have DRM.. er... it doesn't have DRM, right ? That 5 device limit only applies to the older files that still have DRM, right ?

ever heard of itunes fairplay? That only let's you play music files of idevices, macs and devices with a special code in them such as windows computer or xbox if you download the code. You cannot play itunes music on samsung devices.

Because you can have 5 devices on you iTunes account. It's the same with software downloaded from the App store (read OSX). Pay one price and put it on all your computers running 10.6.8 or above.

I still don't understand. If the current music tracks / albums being sold are DRM free, how can they be tied to an iTunes account ? That does not make sense. You mean that there is a service that lets you buy music cheaper but you are limited to 5 devices and another service that lets you buy slightly more expensive music, but DRM free ? DRM free should mean that you can play the tracks on whatever device you want, as long as it supports the file type.
