Due to an unfortunate accident, my U9W has gone belly up, so i need a new mechanical board.

I'm looking for a board with MX blues or blacks, or any similar switch. I've felt browns are too soft for my liking. Wireless preferred, but i know there are very few wireless boards out there. Multimedia keys and/or backlighting are a plus, but not obligatory. I have no budget (anything to get rid of this crappy rubber keyboard) but i do not expect to pay more than $150 unless the features are really worth it.

Been there, done that. My U9W was one of the only three known boards with MX blue switches, because it was an engineering sample (retail version has browns). it's death still pains me sozo.gif

i own a Meka G1 and love it, i payed $113 with tax but it doesn't have backlight but don't worry the new one will and in different Cherry MX switches not just Black

What about the Ducky shining two or the ducky year of the dragon? If you like the atheistic Deck keyboards are the best quality keyboards I have ever used.

You could try the ozone strike its a great board and it does have lasered keycaps and it comes from the same oem as the Meka G1. But i prefer the look of the ozone strike better.

Unfortunately, it is difficult to find a mechanical keyboard that is both wireless and backlit. Which of the two is more important to you?

For wireless, besides XArmors, there are not very many mechanicals. Plum 96 and Neo Zelia come to mind. I don't know if any of these are actually acceptable in terms of quality, though.

For backlit, the highest quality is the Deck Legend, though this is a bit outside your stated budget. CM Storm Trigger or Ducky Shine II aren't quite as exotic in their construction, but are still acceptable while not costing as much.

I know i will not find another wireless mech with MX blues (my U9W was one-of-a-kind, being a prototype and whatnots), much less backlight. Plus i have given up on my wireless mouse and went back to corded (Deathadder Black), so now i'm just looking for a darned good corded board with MX blues or MX Blacks (Browns and reds are too soft for my liking, i have tried them both on friend's boards) and backlighting (multimedia function is optional though, but an aspect to look forward to)

I will be looking on those keyboards too. I don't mind going a bit over my budget (saved a bit from the mouse purchase) but i do not want anything too flimsy. My U9W was like a brick house, dropped like 4-5 times and kept working like a champ. Plus the feel was pretty solid (no wobbling keys)
