Not going to report my entire update here but suffice it to say that I had some successes and failures... Bottom line is that everything fits together as I had hoped but my temps suck and I think its because there's no air gap between my heatsink and my fan mod so there's a big dead zone for airflow right where it really needs to be...

You should post that in the ITX club!

But yout computer runs with less than 100W, and that's to be proud of! smile.gif

Just got my asrock fm2a75m-itx, but the coolermaster hyper 212 evo backplate doesn't fit. It hits components on the underside of the motherboard.

Anybody know of a decent, quiet cooler that uses the stock bracket, or a small bracket that wouldn't hit components?

My ASRock FM2A75M-ITX, gonna shove it into the Prodigy later on today and have it up and running Windows 8 Pro 64 asap!

Tried using washers and mounting the backplate above them? You can then just use a piece of hard foam to fill the gap with the board.

Done it on several ghettomounts, and holds up rather well smile.gif

I'll be sure to post it over there once my build is wrapped up. Fighting though a few self-inflicted problems right now. thinking.gif

I'm tired of waiting for MSI mini ITX board , Trinity was released 1 month ago , and there is no news about it yet . Definitely I'm going to buy the Asrock ITX motherboard ,althought I have to get a wireless USB adapter for my internet conection....

Next week A10 5800k will be ready!

Don't expect much from the asrock board. It kinda sucks.

I have 1.35v samsung eco-ram. I thought I'd be able to change the timings to 9-9-9-24 1T @ 1866 stock voltage like everyone else. The board won't boot with anything less than Jedec timings 11-11-11-28 2T 1600 @ 1.55v?? Make sure whatever ram you buy for this board is rated at the speed you want. Maybe I need to disable the "cool n quiet" feature in bios but that raises my temps 7 degrees C, and with a limitation on coolers, not worth it.

Another deal breaker, and this may just be my particular board. Something is wrong with the USB throughput. When the wireless wifi receiver is active, my usb mouse and keyboard start lagging to the point they're unusable. It's not 2.4ghz interference. I pulled the wireless receiver out, connected an external hard drive to the usb 3.0 port, and started transfering files. The same mouse and keyboard lag appears. USB speeds are pretty slow too, and asrock xfast usb makes them slower.

CPU-Z lists the chipset as A55, which is either wrong, or asrock is falsely advertising sata 3 since A55 is only capable of sata 2.

If you can wait until December-January, Gigabyte is releasing a FM2 ITX board around that time. The asrock, like the FM1 version before is pretty weak.
