Well i see the ASrock boards are getting a bit of a bagging on here
Well i have the FM2A75 Pro4 with an AMD ATHLON II X4 740 and its been here alive and running fine for just over a week...and its overclocked. There looks to be no doubt some kind of issue with sploding VRM but mine seems to be fine, VRM heatsink only gets warm, not hot, and this is after hours of Prime or IBT with my CPU at 4Ghz 1.352v and offset+0.024.
I have had it at a solid 4.2Ghz but the VRm heatsink gets hot after running Prime for 30mins or so but i suppose i could get an Antec spot cool to sort that out
4Ghz was my first aim for an overclock and its likely where i will stay as i dont think i should push anymore as its just not worth blowing my mobo, i mean its only an uber budget board anyway, thing is weak as hell when it comes to power phases but the ASrock boards do bring good value for money...as long as they dont explode
Anyway, this is my first venture into AMD and for my money i think its great value and very easy to overclock even with a non unlocked multi using FSB.
