yep VRMs get up to 160 farenheit ...I wonder if cooling them would help OC at all? Im guessing not because I think they are ok to operate that hot

Really nice board for the price! I haven't seen Gigabyte & Asus use heatsinks over the ram vrm's,even though it may be overkill its great for OC stability. It is too bad Saphire doesn't sell their motherboards in the US.

I am really really tempted by this as i do need a new rig.

i have also just build an A8 rig for a friend and was very impressed by the performance.

I do like to do alot of research before i buy, the only problem is i can't find any user reviews on this board. looks very good on paper.

Sapphire is the company AMD is partnering with to make their apparently launched but not findable/buyable firepro APU motherboards.

Well you can actually find the motherboard, just not the apu.

That motherboard looks good though, since you can't buy it in the states it's very unlikely to find many/any reviews on it.

It's a known issue, most temp monitoring software is apparently fairly confused by the numbers reported by modern AMD temperature sensors. The temp sensors don't actually report "100" for 100 degrees. There's even speculation that they shut down and report zero when the core is inactive or low-activity.

Well I got everything in yesterday and built. But my CPU seems to run hot. It reported up to 65 in the bios. I'm thinking the stock heatsink is part of the issue, even with mx4. Using hardware monitor it was reading up to 70 and 80 at times in windows. I've got a noctua low profile coming in for it today. I should have just waited. Now I have to take the board out to get the new sink on

Also I'm wondering if something is up with my install or if the motherboard is just a bit crazy. I have a 2nd hard drive, but it said windows couldn't format it. Is there anything about using a ssd main and a regular one together I should know? =/.
(Added). Just looked it up, apparently my 2nd drive has some boot partition on it and its using that to boot from. Seems this happened because both were plugged in when I installed to the ssd. Derp

I did the exact same. The stock heatsink on the A10-5700 is massive and utter crap.
