Unable to install Windows 7 (Error 0x80300024)

Thread Starter
I am getting this error when I choose the harddrive that I want to install Windows 7 onto:
"0x80300024"

I have tried "Delete", "Format" on the drive but nothing seems to work - they all give the same error message. Noticing a few 200MB partitions at the Windows 7 install that I can't seem to delete either. Is there any reason those are there and can I delete them somehow? I am being careful not to delete my media storage drives, other than that this 500GB drive (it says 463GB or something like that at the install screen) does not seem to want to work.

On top of that I don't have a copy of Windows to format this drive with. Will I need to format / partition it a particular way in order for Windows to install onto it?

Thanks,
My System

Disconnect anything that is using SATA on your motherboard except for the drive you want to install the OS on. Remove other drives. Now try to install again.
