looking for a ssd with aes encryption

Thread Starter
hi guys im looking for a ssd with hardware aes encryption because as you know its a bad idea to perform a full disk encryption using truecrypt

afaik right now there are only 2 ssd that support aes encryption: intel 330 and samsung 830

however i have heard that samsung only comes with aes in their OEM ssds but not on those that come with a box? ***? is this true?

also... my motherboard is a gigabyte g41m-es2l (sata 2) and this one doesnt have an option on the bios to setup a sata password... so it means that even if my ssd support encryption im not going to be able to make use of that feature if my mobo doesnt allow me to setup a sata password?

thanks...

I don't know about how to set it up but the Plextor M5P drives have 256 AES encryption as well.
