Turn off the AA ,

8800GTX SLI >> X1950CF

Anandtech has the X1950XTX beating the 8800GTS in FEAR by quite a large margin at 2560x1600 4xAA: 24 vs 17fps

The X1950XTX seems to be very competitive in FEAR, even at lower resolutions.

Anandtech also has the X1950XTX beating the 8800GTS in B&W

In the first screen they have a 8800GTX getting 88.1 but have them in SLI only getting 77.7? In the second screen they have 8800GTX scoring 126.6 but then have it only getting 112.7 in SLI?

I'm guessing typos? Maybe driver problems?

My guess is that this will change once better drivers come out for the 8800 series.

Score +1 for ATI! (+25 for nVidia)

SLI/CF on really high end stuff is always worse until they update the drivers a bit.

LOL. Yeh...

Lets compare the 1950xt against any 8 series on a DX10 game. Then lets see...

1950xt 15fps...

EDIT: So you are going to buy a 1950xt because it gets higher fps on a stupid resolution rather than a gpu that can use DX10?

um... yeah, i guess that would only make sense since the X1950 is NOT a DX10 card. I'm not worried at all. ATI/AMD have 2007 on lockdown. They are playing it smart and waiting to see what nVidia brings to the table in the first qrtr. then by fall of '07 they'll be outselling nVidia units 10:1.

Lol, ok so this is just my dreary prediction for the future. Regardless as to what may come, I'm sticking with AMD/ATI thru thick-n-thin. Call me a fanboy, call me what you will.

EDIT: I allready own one

Lol. I would have got an 8 series for crimbo but the prices seem to hight to me. Gonna stick it out until early next year and i might turn to the evil side. I mean ati *cough*. I cant complain much about ATI now. Seeing as they are owned by AMD
