Mamba, Snipe button?

On the Corsair M60, their is a Snipe button, that while you hold it, the DPI slows way down to pull off a headshot. With Razer's software, could I program a button to do tis? Could Mionix's or Rocat's software do this, on their mice?

With Roccat, yes. You can set the DPI you want as well.

AFAIK you cannot do this.

I dont understand the utility of this as most game that allow you to zoom in offer an option to reduce the sensivity when you do. If you feel that you are unnacurate you should try to lower your overall sensivity. thumb.gif

I just got a Razer Mamba 2012 yesterday and the software does seem to allow mapping a temporary dpi to a button. Though I've not yet tried it.

The G400, G300, and G600 all support this feature (called DPI Shift) via Logitech Gaming Software. Other Logitech gaming mice are not supported by LGS, but rather by SetPoint, which does not have the DPI Shift feature.

There is no mamba razer software that supports the holding down of a button to slow the DPI, then go back to the original DPI, if that's what you mean. Unless they changed something that is different than the original mamba software (which I have). I have installed the software recently and there is no such feature.

the problem with the DPI shift is that it can NOT be bound to another key. what i mean is most games have scope as the right click key, so logically you'd want to bind the DPI shift together WITH the right click key so when you scope up, your DPI also change. as of the current version of the logitech gaming software, you can NOT bind both functions to a single key. so you'd have to hold down BOTH keys to get the "snipe" function.

been making suggestions to logitech forum, but mostly ignored.

most games these days let you turn down the accuracy in scope or do it automatically already . All a feature like this would do is mess with my muscle memory.
