Extra Hardware CZ just reviewed a semi-glossy ZR2740w. This is excellent news! I guess HP decided it was not worth it financially to keep using LG's excessively grainy matte coating & deal with all of the returns. First Asus (VG23AH), then Dell (U2713), and now HP has changed the matte coating, who is next?
This is great news for gamers since the ZR2740w has lower input lag than the Dell U2713 & Samsung S27A850D due to the lack of a scaler.

When will these become available for every one else? I don't know, but it would be wise to hold off on purchasing the ZR2740w's for a while
This image shows the effect of different kinds of coatings displays use. The 27Q LED-P is glossy & the S24A850D is semi-glossy, compare them to the ZR2740w in this image which uses the typical aggressive anti-glare coating found on matte LG panels. Now the HP will look like the S24A850D in in this image.
