Question about neoprene

Thread Starter
I was wondering if anyone knows where to get neoprene pipe insulation. I found some, but it has a slit in it. Im looking for a solid piece that has a 2 1/2 ID. Im trying to do this on my new cascade just like Greymoles build I have been searching Google high and low and nothing I find has a big enough ID. Any help would be great biggrin.gif

Lowes or Homedepot might be your only option unless you want to go with McMasters or a local HVAC store like United Refrigeration or Grainger...

I've bought some at the local HVAC shop, but sometimes they won't sell anything to you unless you are licensed. Other than that online would work. I know grainger has a lot of stuff.

For McMaster-Carr you need to type neoprene into the find and then scroll a bit to find what you need.

I always get all my neoprene (sheets and pipe) from Grainger

Just filter that page by Manufactuer = Nomaco-KFLEX, Type=Unslit and then find the size insulation you need (I usually get the 1" thick insulation and then decide on the ID for the pipe based on the use... My KV2 Pot takes the 2" ID pipe just fine).

Thanks for the link Scott I ordered it from them yesterday, and it's here already.

I normally hitup ebay. A while ago I bought a huge box pof 8" ID 1" thick neoprene tubing. 8" ID is obviously crazy. But... It's a large enough diameter that after cutting it down and pressing it out, I had flat sheets. Only took a day under a sheet of plywood to lose the curl. And I paid less than a dollar a foot.
